  1. (intransitive) To believe incorrectly; hold to a false belief.
  2. (transitive) To disbelieve; doubt.
    • 1960, Daud Rahbar, God of Justice, page 356:
      Verily, those who misbelieve and obstruct the way of God, have erred a wide error.
