Etymology
From Russian дубовый язык (dubovyj jazyk, “coarse, heavy language”, literally “oaken language”) via Polish [Term?]. Originally referring to the language of the tsarist bureaucracy, it was later used by the Solidarność movement in Poland and then picked up by the French media.
