cãpitsãnã
Aromanian
Etymology
Probably from Vulgar Latin *capitina, ultimately from Latin caput (“head”), possibly formed through analogy with morticina. Compare Romanian căpățână. Other possibilities may include an internal derivation from cap, or perhaps from Latin capitium with the suffix -ãnã. Compare also Spanish cabeza, Portuguese cabeça.
