case report (plural case reports)

  1. (medicine) A detailed report of the symptoms, signs, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of an individual patient, possibly containing a demographic profile of the patient, but usually describing an unusual or novel occurrence.
  2. (law) An account of a legal action which has been tried and decided, usually including the judgment(s) verbatim, together with a headnote explaining the legal issues determined, intended for the information of legal professionals.
