Iuliyanov
English
Etymology
Romanization of the Russian Иулия́нов (Iulijánov), from Иулиан (Iulian) + -ов (-ov, “genitive possessive ending”).
From the Latin Iulianus, the Russian forename of St. Julian of Tarsus (~305 AD).
The name Iulianus may have a similar root to the Roman gens Iūlius, possibly a contraction of the Old Latin personal name *Iovilios (“descended from or pertaining to Jove”). See Iove.
