-misia
English
Etymology
Form of Ancient Greek μῑσέω (mīséō, “to hate”) or μῖσος (mîsos, “hatred”).
A misiac is a person that hates something, with what they hate serving as the prefix, i.e arachnomisiac. It should not be confused with words with the suffix -phobia, as one describes disgust or hatred, while the other describes irrational aversion or fear.
