Suffix

-dır

  1. Suffix appended to verbs to derive a transitive verb, often with a causative meaning. Applies only to verb stems containing 'a', or 'ı'[1]
    ‎yanmaq (“to burn”) + ‎-dır → ‎yandırmaq (“to ignite”)
    ‎çatmaq (“to reach”) + ‎-dır → ‎çatdırmaq (“to deliver”)
    ‎qızmaq (“to heat up, become warm”) + ‎-dır → ‎qızdırmaq (“to heat up, make warm”)
