Xysticus texanus is een spinnen soort in de taxonomische indeling van de krabspinnen (Thomisidae).[1]

Het dier behoort tot het geslacht Xysticus. De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort werd voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1904 door Nathan Banks.[2]
