Geschiedenis
Geno Washington publiceerde tussen 1966 en 1969 vijf albums met The Ram Jam Band. Sinds het begin van 1976 verschenen van hem acht solo-albums. Hij was toen degene, die Ian Brown tijdens zijn verjaardagsfeestje in Manchester de raad gaf om zanger te worden. Deze richtte daarna de legendarische Britse gitaarband The Stone Roses op.
De band Dexys Midnight Runners wijden een song aan Geno Washington, die zijn voornaam draagt.
