Tafea FC heeft een rijke historie. Zo werd de club sinds de oprichting van de Vanuatu Premia Divisen in 1994 tot en met 2008/09 onafgebroken kampioen. In het seizoen 2000/01 haalde club de finale van de Oceania Club Championship waarin het verloor van de Wollongong Wolves uit Australië.
