Swordfishtrombones is een album van de singer-songwriter Tom Waits, uitgebracht in 1983. Dit was het eerste album dat Waits zelf produceerde. In tegenstelling tot zijn vorige LP's, maakt hij niet meer gebruik van de piano en orkest samenstelling, maar gebruikt hij nu ongebruikelijke instrumentatie en wat meer abstracte schrijfstijl.
