Verspreiding en leefgebied
Deze soort komt voor in India en Myanmar en telt 3 ondersoorten:
- S. o. grisescens: noordwestelijk en het noordelijke deel van Centraal-India.
- S. o. grandis: westelijk India.
- S. o. ocellata: centraal en zuidelijk India en zuidwestelijk Myanmar.
