Stephen Cooney
Stephen (Steve) Cooney, van huis uit een rockgitarist, is geboren in Melbourne, Australië en begon al jong aan een muzikale loopbaan. Na een poosje in de Verenigde Staten te hebben gewerkt kwam hij uiteindelijk in 1981 in Ierland terecht waar hij eerst als straatmuzikant werkte voor hij bij Stockton's Wing ging werken als bassist. Daarna werkte hij met Sharon Shannon en maakte opnames met Mary Black, Altan, Dermot Byrne, Seamus Begley en Pádraigín Ní Uallacháin. Buiten de gitaar speelt hij ook bas en keyboards.
