Sootoro
Sootoro, dat in het Syrisch-Aramees letterlijk verdediging betekent, is een Aramese militie in Syrië, die gesticht werd tijdens de Syrische Burgeroorlog door de Aramese en Armeense bevolking.[1][2] De militie is pro-Assad.

Doelstelling
Het doel van de militie is vooral om de Aramese minderheid in Syrië te beschermen, met het oog op het gouvernement Al-Hasakah, waar een relatief grote Aramese bevolking woont.[3]
