Geschiedenis
Op 10 februari 1887 werd het Melbourne Road District opgericht. Het werd op 18 juni 1926 hernoemd naar het Wongan-Ballidu Road district en op 23 juni 1961 naar de Shire of Wongan-Ballidu.[2]

Shire of Wongan-Ballidu is een landbouwdistrict in de regio Wheatbelt. Het is 3.368 km² groot en ligt ongeveer 180 kilometer ten noordoosten van Perth.
