Scipio (staf)
Een scipio is een typisch Romeinse ivoren scepter. De letterlijke betekenis van scipio is "een ceremoniële staf". De scipio was oorspronkelijk voor de koningen van Rome. Later werd hij gebruikt als ceremoniële staf van de consuls.
