De Somalische buulbuul (Pycnonotus somaliensis) is een zangvogel uit de familie van de Buulbuuls (Pycnonotidae).[1]

Verspreiding en leefgebied
Het is een algemene standvogel in Noordoost-Afrika. De driekleurenbuulbuul wordt samen met de Dodsons buulbuul (P. dodsoni) en de driekleurbuulbuul (P. tricolor) vaak nog als ondersoort beschouwd van de grauwe buulbuul (P. barbatus) onder andere door BirdLife International. Deze vogels lijken uiterlijk en qua gedrag sterk op elkaar.
