Promotiedivisie

Promotiedivisie is het op één-na hoogste niveau van het basketbal in Nederland en is de hoogste amateurcompetitie. Aan het eind van het seizoen spelen vier teams in de Final Four, om zo uit te maken wie zich amateurkampioen van Nederland mag noemen. De winnaar krijgt ook de mogelijkheid om te promoveren naar de Dutch Basketball League, ook wel de Eredivisie genoemd. Dit gebeurt echter zelden.
