Plectophanes frontalis is een spinnen soort in de taxonomische indeling van de Deinopidae.[1]

Het dier behoort tot het geslacht Plectophanes. De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort werd voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1935 door Bryant.
