De Premier Division is de hoogste divisie van de Northern Premier League, en is het zevende niveau in de Engelse voetbalpiramide. De divisie is ook bekend onder de sponsornaam BetVictor League Premier Division.

De divisie zit op hetzelfde niveau als de Premier Division van zowel de Southern League als de Isthmian League. Aan het einde van het seizoen promoveren de kampioen en de winnaar van de play-offs, die gespeeld worden door de nummers twee tot en met vijf op de eindranglijst. De vier laagst geklasseerde teams degraderen afhankelijk van de geografische ligging naar Division One North of Division One South en worden vervangen door vier gepromoveerde teams.
