Federale politie verwijst naar een politiedienst in een bondsstaat (federatie) die op het federale niveau georganiseerd is.

- Bundespolizei (Oostenrijk)

- Policía Federal Ministerial (Mexico)
- Bundesamt für Polizei (Zwitserland)
Ook het Amerikaanse Federal Bureau of Investigation wordt wel als federale politie aangeduid.
