Echte beekkevers

De echte beekkevers (Elmidae), ook wel eenvoudigweg bekend als beekkevers (niet te verwarren met de verwante familie Dryopidae), vormen een familie binnen de kevers (Coleoptera). De familie werd voor het eerst beschreven in 1830 door Curtis.[1]
