Chilobrachys fimbriatus is een spinnensoort in de taxonomische indeling van de vogelspinnen (Theraphosidae).[2]

Het dier behoort tot het geslacht Chilobrachys. De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort werd voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1899 door Mary Agard Pocock.
De soort komt lokaal voor in Maharashtra en Karnataka (India). Hoewel de populatietrend afnemend is staat de soort op de Rode Lijst van de IUCN als niet bedreigd (Least Concern).[1]
