Campo (Gent)

CAMPO is een multidisciplinair kunstencentrum uit Gent met een uitlopende programmatie van theater, dans, performance en beeldende kunst. Campo is operatief in 3 sites: CAMPO nieuwpoort, CAMPO victoria en CAMPO boma. Het centrum biedt ondersteuning aan kunstenaars aan de hand repetitielokalen, technische expertise of productioneel advies en hulp. Campo is een fusie van twee verschillende theaterhuizen uit Gent, Victoria en Nieuwpoorttheater. CAMPO stond tot 2012 onder artistiek leidingschap Dirk Pauwels.

Geschiedenis

In 2008 fuseerde Dirk Pauwels Nieuwpoorttheater en Victoria tot CAMPO.[1] In 2011 verliet Dirk Pauwels CAMPO en maakte hij plaats voor opvolger Kristof Blom.

Prijzen
  • 2017: Italiaanse Theaterpijs Premio Ubu voor Five Easy Pieces, een theatervoorstelling van Milo Rau, IIPM en CAMPO.[2]
