De CECAFA Cup 2006 was de 30e editie van de CECAFA Cup georganiseerd door de CECAFA (Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations). Deze editie van de CECAFA Cup werd gesponsord door de Ethiopische/Arabische sjeik Mohammed Al Amoudi, daarom werd het toernooi Al Amoudi Senior Challenge Cup genoemd. Het toernooi duurde van 25 november tot en met 20 december 2006. Soedan verloor weliswaar in de finale van Zambia (na strafschoppen) maar kreeg toch de titel omdat Zambia geen lid is van de CECAFA. Zambia was uitgenodigd om mee te doen, Soedan eindigde als hoogste van de CECAFA leden. Rwanda werd derde.
