Austrosynthemis cyanitincta is een libellensoort uit de familie van de zuidelijke glanslibellen (Synthemistidae), onderorde echte libellen (Anisoptera).[1]

De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1908 door Tillyard.
