Hawadle

The Xawaadle or HawaadleMohamed (Somali: Xawaadle, Arabic: حوادله,Italian: Auadleh) are a Somali clan politically aligned with Hawiye in the borders of Somalia and descended from Meyle, one of the sons of the Samaale clan. Along with many other Somali clans like the Hawiye and Dir, the Hawadle trace themselves to Samaale.[1][2]

Overview

The Hawadle are part of the Samaale clan. Besides their genealogical descent and true abtirsi, the Hawadle are politically aligned with the Hawiye, especially the Mudolood in the borders of Somalia. Mudulood consists of Abgaal and Ujajeen. The Imam of both Mudulood traditionally hails from the Abgaal. Imam Mohamed Yusuf is the present Imam of Mudulood. The Abgaal are also a subclan of the Hawiye. They descend from Irir Samaale, one of the sons of Samaale. Due to this the Abgaal have kinship with the Dir (Irir) and the Ajuran, Degoodi, and Gaalje'el Samaale subclans.[1]
