Winnipeg Fury

The Winnipeg Fury were a professional soccer team in Winnipeg, Canada. It was founded by Ralph Cantafio, who served as Team President and Chairman of the Board.[1] The team was part of the Canadian Soccer League from 1987 to 1992. The Fury belonged to the former Canadian National Soccer League for 1993.

CSL Fury

The Fury won the final CSL championship, defeating the Vancouver 86ers in goals aggregate 3-1 in the two game series in 1992 season.

Post CSL year

The Fury went on to join the former Canadian National Soccer League, but only for the 1993 season.

Soccer returned to Winnipeg in 2011 with the WSA (World Soccer Academy) joining the USSF Professional Development League (PDL).
