Playing career
Volkers, who played as a striker, spent his entire playing career with Ajax, scoring 129 goals in 265 games between 1923 and 1936.
Volkers also played at international level for the Netherlands, scoring two goals in seven appearances between 1924 and 1932.
Coaching career
Volkers served as manager of Ajax between 1941 and 1942.
