William Best (cricketer)

William Finlay Best (30 May 1865 – 3 August 1942) was an English cricketer. He was born in Smarden in Kent and died at Ruthin Castle in Denbighshire aged 77.[1]

Best was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm slow bowler who played five first-class cricket matches for Kent County Cricket Club. He made his first-class cricket debut for Kent during the 1890 season against Nottinghamshire. He played one more match in 1890, one in 1891 and two in 1892.[2]
