William Avery (Massachusetts)

Dr. William Avery (born circa 1622[1]) represented Dedham, Massachusetts in the Great and General Court in 1669.[2] He was also a selectman, serving eight terms beginning in 1664.[3]

The Avery Oak stood on his land and is named for his family.[4]
