Walter H. Jones (bishop)

Walter Heath Jones (25 December 1928 – 22 March 2003) was an Anglican bishop in the United States and Canada.[1]

Jones was born in Winnipeg and educated at the University of Manitoba. He was ordained in 1952 and served at Flin Flon until 1958 when he was received into the Episcopal Church of the United States. He was Rector of St Mary's Church, Mitchell, South Dakota, then Dean of Calvary Cathedral, Sioux Falls and lastly the Bishop of South Dakota before returning to Canada. He became Bishop of Rupert's Land[2] in 1983 and Archbishop and Metropolitan of Rupert's Land in 1987. He retired in 1994 and died in 2003.[3]
