Background and recording

The album comes after 2017's "Last Young Renegade", a record that received mixed reviews. The recording process took place at Rian Dawson's home studio in Nashville, Tennessee which gave the band the opportunity to work without worrying about renting a professional studio and let them work in their own tempo.
