WYMM operates in the daytime with 50,000 watts, the maximum power for AM stations permitted by the Federal Communications Commission. But because AM 1530 is a clear channel frequency, WYMM must sign-off at night, to protect WCKY in Cincinnati, the Class A station in the East on 1530 kHz; KFBK in Sacramento, California is the other Class A station on this frequency. WYMM's transmitter, studios and offices are on Picketville Road in the Biltmore neighborhood of Jacksonville.[1]
