The airline was formed by Irelandia, which has also developed other five airlines, namely Viva Air Colombia, Ryanair, Allegiant Air, VivaAerobus and Tigerair.

On 20 June 2017, the airline announced they had signed an MOU with Airbus for an order of 15 A320-200 and 35 A320neo[4]
