University of Melbourne Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences
The Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences is a faculty of the University of Melbourne. The faculty is structured as follows:
- Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences – Dean: Professor John Fazakerley[1]
- Melbourne Veterinary School – Head of school: Professor Anna Louise Meredith OBE FRCVS[2]
- School of Agriculture and Food – Head of school: Professor Herbert Kronzucker[3]
History
The Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences was formed when the veterinary science department was grouped with the agriculture and food systems department from the Melbourne School of Land and Environment, which was disestablished in January, 2015.
Facilities
The Veterinary Science Library Werribee is based at the university’s Werribee campus, and supports teaching, learning and research activities of those within the faculty. Generally the library collects in the areas of surgery, pathology and parasitology.[4] Services offered at the library include borrowing, membership, renewals, inter-library loans, inter-campus loans, BONUS+ borrowing scheme, and printing and scanning.[5]
