Unity (Uzbekistan)
Birlik (Unity People's Movement) is a now banned political party in Uzbekistan, formed in September 1989 by computer science professor Avraham Mikhli and former Soviet Union Member of Parliament Pulat Akhun. It is Uzbekistan's first democratic opposition organization. They are the founders of Harakat, an Uzbek political/human rights journal.
