Started to air as a daily primetime newscast on July 10, 2017, the newscast airs daily from 6:00 to 7:00 PM PST, replacing PTV News Primetime Edition, as part of programming changes brought about by the relaunch of PTV on June 28, 2017. The newscast now air on Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 to 7:00 PM PST and with replays on Mondays from 6:00 to 7:00 AM PST. It is also simulcasted on government radio network Radyo Pilipinas.
Roughly after two months, the weekday edition was axed and reverted to PTV News, leaving the weekend edition using the Ulat Bayan branding. It is anchored by weekend anchor Joee Guilas Rocky Ignacio Allan Francisco and Eunice Samonte.
