Ukshi railway station

Ukshi railway station is a station on Konkan Railway. The preceding station on the line is Sangameshwar railway station and the next station is Bhoke railway station.[1] The station offers free Wi-Fi.It is located 25 km towards East from District headquarters Ratnagiri. 19 km from Ratnagiri. 256 km from State capital Mumbai.

There is a 6.5 kilometres long Tunnel known as Karbude Tunnel located on the Konkan Railway situated between UKSHI and Bhoke Station,Karbude tunnel is Konkan Railway Line's longest tunnel. Karbude Tunnel remained India's longest rail tunnel until the India Government gave Green light to the Railways to plan and construct Pir Panjal Railway Tunnel.[2]

The total geographical area of village is 965 hectares. Ukshi Local Language is Marathi. Ukshi Village Total population is 1336 and number of houses are 353 according to 2011 census. Female Population is 54.0%. Village literacy rate is 71.3% and the Female Literacy rate is 34.2%.
