Uchiage Hanabi

"Uchiage Hanabi" (Japanese: 打上花火, official English is "Fireworks") is a single by Daoko and Kenshi Yonezu released in August 2017. "Uchiage Hanabi" means "rocket firework". It is used as the theme song for the 2017 anime film Fireworks. The song is included in Thank You Blue. There are also two solo versions, Yonezu's solo version, released in November of the same year in Bootleg, is a minimalist rearrangement. While Daoko solo version is included in Shiteki Ryoko. The song occupied number one in Billboard Japan Hot Animation for over twenty five weeks.[1] The song won Song of the Year of Space Shower Music Awards in 2018.[2]

The song received many positive reviews; it was described as merging the light sadness of summer and floweriness of fireworks, mixing delicate piano and strings with an electro effect and producing a beautiful scene.[3][4][5][6]
