"Two Less Lonely People in the World" was a hit on adult contemporary radio in Canada and the United States, reaching number two in Canada,[2] and spending three weeks at number four in the U.S.[3]

In early 2017, the song was covered by KZ Tandingan. It was included as part of the official soundtrack for the Philippine indie film Kita Kita for the 12th Osaka Asian Film Festival held in Japan.[8]
