Thudiyalur

Thudiyalur is a part of Coimbatore, in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is within the Coimbatore Corporation, about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) north of the city centre. Thudiyalur is one of the fast-growing neighbourhoods of Coimbatore, because it has a lot of industries & invasion of IT companies in Saravanampatti which is around 8KM. Public transport facility in Thudiyalur is available for 24 hours on Mettupalayam road of Coimbatore. Earlier this place was known as Thiruthudisaimpathy, later it named as Thudiyalur.

Thiruthudisaimpathy Virundeeswarar Temple in Vadamadurai near Thudiyalur is construction dating back to 1300+ years old ancient temple. Lord Shiva is a Swayambumurthi in the temple.

In 2017 the railway station was refurbished. Thudiyalur railway station is on the Coimbatore - Mettupalayam section. This station handles local passenger trains between Mettupalayam railway station and Coimbatore Junction. It just takes 15 minutes to reach Coimbatore Junction and 25 minutes to reach Mettupalayam railway station from Thudiyalur railway station and fare is also just Rs.10 in both directions.

Coimbatore Metro

Coimbatore Metro feasibility study is completed and one of the route planned from Pilichi[Near Press Colony] through Mettupalayam road till Ukkadam Bus stand covering 24 km.
