History

From early in the 20th century until the early 1940s, the New York Central Railroad operated multiple passenger trains a day through the station, going beyond Adirondack Park to Malone, New York and on to Montreal.[5][6] From the 1950s and to 1961, daily there was a day train and a night train in each direction to Lake Placid station.[7] In 1965 passenger trains ended, with the closing of passenger traffic on the NYC's Adirondack Division.[8]
