The Pauline Quirke Academy

The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA) is a multi-site performing arts Academy for young people aged 4–18. Students spend three hours rotating through hour-long sessions in Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre and Film & Television. Students are split into groups according to their age and are taught by specialist teachers. The PQA model was created by Pauline Quirke and her dedicated team of performing arts education specialists in 2007. With over 180 Academies currently across the UK, inspirational Principals and teachers work tirelessly to ensure every student receives unrivalled support and amazing opportunities.

In 2018, the organisation began producing events at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, operating a venue at Riddle's Court under the name PQA Venues.[1]
