The Devil All the Time is an upcoming American psychological thriller film based on the novel of the same name by Donald Ray Pollock. Directed and co-written by Antonio Campos and produced by Jake Gyllenhaal and Randall Poster, the film features an ensemble cast including; Tom Holland, Sebastian Stan, Robert Pattinson, Mia Wasikowska, Eliza Scanlen, Bill Skarsgard, Jason Clarke, Riley Keough, Haley Bennett, Harry Melling, and Douglas Hodge.

Set in Ohio between the end of World War II and the beginning of the Vietnam War, the film follows a non-linear storyline of various disturbed people who suffer from the damages of the post-war, and crime.

Production

The film was announced in September 2018, with Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Chris Evans and Mia Wasikowska in talks to star. Antonio Campos would write and direct the film, with Jake Gyllenhaal serving as producer.[3] In January 2019, Bill Skarsgård and Eliza Scanlen joined the cast, with Netflix set to distribute the film.[4][5] Sebastian Stan was cast to replace Evans after scheduling conflicts caused him to drop out and personally recommended Stan to be in his role.[6] Additionally, Jason Clarke, Riley Keough and Haley Bennett were announced as part of the cast.[7] In March 2019, Harry Melling joined the cast of the film.[8]

Filming began on February 19, 2019 in Birmingham, Alabama, Pell City, Alabama, Anniston, Alabama and Deatsville, Alabama and wrapped April 15.[9][10][11]
