Release

"That XX" was released as the first digital single and second music video from One of a Kind. The song was labelled unsuitable for listeners below 19 years of age for its explicit lyrics. Compromised words were replaced by beeps in the music video.[1] After its release, the song ranked first place in all of South Korea's major music charts and on the weekly iChart on Instiz, achieving a 'Perfect All-Kill."[2] "That XX" reached the top of the Gaon Chart for the month of September. This is the first time a 19+ song has reached the number 1 spot.[3] The only televised live performance was made on the music show Inkigayo with guitarist Sungha Jung. G-Dragon performed a revised version fit for broadcast television.[4]

Music video

The music video features G-Dragon playing two parts: himself, and the cheating boyfriend of the female character (played by Jennie from Blackpink). At the start of the video G-Dragon is shown looking through his blinds but before it reveals what he sees the video turns to see him singing. The video is turned back to him looking through the blinds to see the cheating boyfriend taking off his ring before turning away to leave his room. The boyfriend is then seen hugging a girl wearing flashy clothes. The scene cuts to one of Jennie Kim on the phone visibly upset. G-Dragon is shown, also upset, in his own room. Jennie is shown again on the phone but is much happier, smiling and laughing. During the bridge of the song is shows Jennie submerging underwater in a bathtub then switches to G-Dragon emerging from water, both still dressed. The video ends with G-Dragon and Jennie sitting on a couch, his arm around her shoulders. It's not clear whether it is or is not the cheating boyfriend. During the video there are scenes of G-Dragon singing in several different locations and English lyrics, that he sings, appear in different ways. "I'm Sorry" appears written on a piece of torn, crumpled paper for example.

Cover versions

"That XX" was remade by the rappers Olltii and Zico at the reality show Show Me the Money. This rendition peaked at number #32 on the Gaon Digital Chart.[5] Wonder Girls' Park Ye-eun and the duo 15& remade the song by giving it a female perspective at the survival show Singer Game.[6] Mamamoo's Solar performed a cover at the tv show Duet Song Festival.[7]
