THK (company)

THK Co., Ltd. (THK株式会社, THK Kabushiki-gaisha) is a major Japanese company which manufactures machinery components.[2] The company is known for linear motion guides, ball spline, ball screws and link balls.[4] THK is reported to have 38 subsidiary companies, 13,000 employees and in 2017 had gross revenues of just over US$2.5 billion.[5] THK is credited with developing the world's first linear motion guide, which is one of the company's important product ever since.[6]

Robotics

The company is also active in the field of robotics. In 2017 the company introduced a service robot named ARISA, a guide robot that will work in the subway stations of Tokyo.[7]
