Supermoto European Championship

The European Supermoto Championship [1] was born in 1997 in a unique free displacement category. The first to winner of a European Championship is the Frenchman Gilles Salvador. From its birth it was considered as a championship of maximum expression of the discipline, until the birth of the Supermoto World Championship in 2002. Since 2007 it has been held along the same stages of the World Championship.

Until 2001 maximum competition for Supermoto in the absence of a world competition (created in 2002)

In the 2017 and 2019 seasons only the S2 European Championship was played.
