Statue of Junípero Serra (Los Angeles)

A statue of Junípero Serra was installed in Father Serra Park, a park in Los Angeles, California between the Santa Ana Freeway and the city's Chinatown district. The statue was toppled during the George Floyd protests in June 2020.[2] Other statues of Junípero Serra were involved as the protests expanded to include monuments of individuals associated with the controversy over the genocide of indigenous peoples in the Americas.
