Staniszewo, Pomeranian Voivodeship

Staniszewo [staniˈʂɛvɔ] (Cashubian Stajszewò)[1],(German: Stanischewo or Stanischau, first mentioned in 1406: as Stabischau)[2] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Kartuzy, within Kartuzy County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[3] It lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) north-west of Kartuzy and 37 km (23 mi) west of the regional capital Gdańsk. There is a school in Staniszewo. Students learn three languages - English, German and Kashubian.
